In addition to our Mission, we have developed these four pillars, which represent what is important to us and how we will act as a business.   Environment

Educate citizens about water issues and their environmental impacts
Promote public drinking water systems as a collective resource to be preserved for future generations

Promote technology and ideas that reduce individual or collective water footprints

Operate in an environmentally responsible manner; reduce use of resources - where resource use cannot be reduced, TapIt offices and staff will reuse, recycle, compost and offset carbon emissions
Seek out environmentally responsible organizations when sourcing products and services
   

Local

Give local or U.S. based businesses preference when sourcing products or services
Promote and support local business through the TapIt partner network and through involvement in local business networks
   

Community Service

Collaborate with and support groups that educate citizens about or promote water and environmental issues
Use TapIt as a model to teach others about sustainable business practices
   

Charitable Giving

Give a % of revenue to water related environmental non-profit

Give 'in kind' donations to groups that promote water or environmental issues by volunteering, speaking at gatherings and conferences or teaching
